I hate spoilers. Really, really hate them! I'm sure there's some period after a movie's been released where it's considered safe to talk about it, but I'm not sure what it is. Two weeks? Two months? I don't know! All I know is that I'll be horribly disappointed if I ever watch Citizen Kane, because I already know what Rosebud is. :P

News!

New Donation Incentive! I've uploaded spiffy, new wallpapers for kind readers who donate to KT. Visit the Tip Jar Page to learn more.

New Page! Go behind the scenes and see how KT is made, from the ponies used to the accessory collection, and more! This is an expansion of the Behind-the-Scenes tour I gave here on LiveJournal last year.

New Vote Incentive! We're doing the vote incentive once again. If KT makes the top 100 on Top Web Comics, the top 50 on buzzComix, or the top 2 on Photo Web Comics, and it holds that position for a day, there will be an EXTRA COMIC on Monday, August 25! This worked so well last month that I've decided to do it again. :D So start voting!

"Citizen Kane" is not about Rosebud. Watch it, but research it first. Get into the feel of the times, set yourself into the right place. Then watch it and you'll get something out of it. To be honest, though, it took until my 5th viewing to finally be able to completely follow everything that was going on and start to give a crap. I'm glad my films courses made me watch it so many times, because now (7+ views) I can appreciate and almost really enjoy it.

I'm not into those sort of radio-play-era movies. Too much of the plot leans on the words in the dialogue. I'm not used to listening that way.

Maybe Empire Strikes Back would have been a better example. By the time I saw it, that whole "I'm your father" thing was common knowledge.

*nods* If I just switched heads out, the legs would never move. Plus, those extra heads come attached to other bodies, so I might as well use them. ;)

You'll be disappointed if you ever watch Citizin Kane because it is a HORRIBLE, BORING movie.
Love the comic :D

Lol...I'm mixed on spoilers. I've been known to seek them out, since for me the fun is in the nuances of seeing it for yourself, even if you know what's going to happen. (I knew my least favorite character was going to be killed off Lost a week or two before it happened--and I got to relish the idea beforehand--but it was still a shock as to how they did it.)

I would say the statute of limitations should be about a two weeks for a movie and a month for a book (unless it's known to be a VERY quick read).

Hooray for behind the scenes!

P.S. Aeris dies.
Well, since Harvey Dent/Two-Face has been around since the 1940's, I think it's a moot point.

But I'd say about a month is good.

Re: P.S. Aeris dies.
You'd be surprised! A couple of my friends only know comic lore from the movies, and the Two-Face caught them by surprise. But, in this case, poor Butterscotch didn't want to know what happens between Batman and Harvey.

I watched Citizen Kane recently, and like you I already knew who Rosebud was. It was still a fantastic film on power, greed, and corruption. If you like Batman, I'm sure you'll like Citizen Kane. :)

I'll watch it one of these days. I've got a list of classic movies, and every now and then I get to mark one off. ^_^

Oh, gosh..the little checkerboard counter gave me a terrific flashback to Mr. Hooper's store on Sesame Street.

*snort* Spoiler alert! Even I've seen DK by now, Butterscotch, so stop whining and go see it. ;)

I have not, however, seen Episode III. Now it is ruined! XD

I admit it-I haven't seen TDK. I doubt I ever will, honestly. If anything I'll see if DH is going to and he can give me the low-down.

There are spoilers to TDK, though? Oy.

I don't think I have ever mentioned before how much I adore this comic! I may not comment much, but I read every issue and look forward to it! (and of course, voted for KT on the sites!)

Are there any accessories or ponies, etc that are on a wishlist anywhere, so that readers can send in item donations to help out?

Oh! You know, I never considered keeping a wish list before. I have just about everything I'd ever need, but there are some items I wish I had. Like a pony-sized water cooler for Minty's office.

Is that a little Strangers in Paradise poster on the comic book shop wall?! I don't recognize the middle one, though. :D

I want to second all the recommendations for Citizen Kane--it's an amazing movie and knowing what Rosebud is won't really detract from the story. In some ways, I thought it made the viewing experience more poignant.

WOW
I loved the behind the scenes page. So special! It's kind of neat to know how much work you put into this---it makes the result even better in my opinion.
psssttt I think KT needs more boys though ;)

I once heard five years is the cutoff. If you haven't seen it after 5 years, you're probably not ever going to see it.
