Okay, they're not robots. They're human/cybernetic organisms! The Terminator series is one of my biggest fandoms. It's one I get the most excited about, but it's also usually one of my biggest disappointments. Yes, even more than Star Wars.

The series has had causality loops and other paradoxes from the beginning, so you can't really think about it too much. But now, the TV show has really muddied the waters, having so much machine interference in the past. I'm not even sure how much of the original movie holds true now.

Calling all collectors
KT's third anniversary is coming up, and I have some special surprises in store. I need your help, though. I need a mint in package Kimono, which I will happily pay for. It can be Kimono I or II. I'm not picky. I could also use a Minty with the 3D symbols, if anyone has one they're willing to part with. She doesn't have to be in the package. Thanks!

I've only been reading this strip for a week, but I really like it!
I got here via Girl Genius, and I've gone back and read all the episodes. I love your sense of humor, and the ponies are so much fun, especially when they're being snarky.

Just think of the Terminator timelines as different realities, rather than changing the future of one universe.
When Reese came back, he saved Sarah and unwittingly became part of the future in creating John, but there is still a future where he and the terminator never came back in time.
In the show, Sarah and John jumped forward some years, but there is still a universe where Sarah died from cancer and John survived the uprising of Skynet.
So, the show is true, but the movies can be true too.
That's how I like to think of it anyway. It keeps my brain from imploding!

BTW, where'd you get such great movie stills? So clear and blurless!

A++ You always crack me up!

That's so weird you did a Terminator themed one today. I just saw the first one for the first time this weekend! I've seen the second movie about a thousand times and I even saw the third one in the theater! Ha!

I pretend the third one doesn't exist, LOL! That's the best thing about the TV show, I think. It wrote the third movie out of continuity. XD

And here I out-dork Minty.

I tend to think of Terminators as robots...because really, they're only upholstered in flesh to get through the temporal-portal and to pass for human to infiltrate camps. A true cyborg would be more of blend between human and robot.

(and Skynet probably didn't know John Connor was John Connor when he was in the Century City work camp.)

It seems to me that, since Skynet is being built directly by machines from the future, that it will know to look for John from day one. I think the writers of the show just realized this, because now they're about to bring Kyle Reese in, which will completely change John's origin. Urg...

they're only upholstered in flesh

LMAO! Oh, shoot... you just cracked my husband and me up. XD

Something else that occurred to me last time I watched T2! If the T-1000 is purely liquid metal, and no metal can pass through the time machine unless it's covered in flesh, how the heck did the T-1000 come back?

Hello! I'm a big fan of your comic, though I tend not to comment. I just thought maybe I should let you know... The past couple times I've come to this LJ, my anti-virus has come up with a warning that a Trojan is being downloaded (I think-- I was in too much of a hurry clicking 'Abort connection' to double-check). I don't know how this could happen from just visiting a page, and maybe it's just a coincidence and Avast has a glitch or something, but I thought, better to let you know just incase it turns out to be something serious.

Sorry for the bother. Thank you so much for continuing to make such an awesome comic!

Hi! I'm aware of the problem. It's not a problem with my website or LiveJournal but one of the voting sites I link to. Photo Web Comics was hijacked by a phishing site in December, and ever since then, links to it have set off some people's AV programs.

I set up the voting portal to help prevent the warnings, but there's almost a hundred old entries with links to PWC, so if you're visiting this LJ, you might still get the warnings. Hopefully, things will be sorted out soon!

Terminator = Love

T2 was my all-time-favorite-watch-it-a-million-times movie for EVER! (I make my mother crazy cause she will turn the volume way down and I will recite it word for word - ha! your antics do not thwart me!)

I have a Minty with the 3D symbol...still in the box, and I might have a Kimono II as well...I'd have to dig around. If your still looking. ^^

A friend of mine has constantly been trying to get me interested in the "Chronicles", but the more I hear about it the less I want to watch. I still enjoy the first two movies, the third was meh, and I'm not at all sure I want to go see the new one coming out.

I have to admit, I never thought about why the machines just don't axe Connor in the camps. A friend of mine has a cop-out of Skynet not being able to mess with parts of the timeline as they would adversely affect its own existence. We also heard Uncle Reese put out the possibility that some of the people from the future might come from futures that don't exist anymore, or are from "new" futures that they've created.

At the moment, "Lost" is where I'm looking for more hard-n-fast rules about time travel (the other place is the Babylon-5 episodes "Babylon Squared" and "War Without End" parts I and II). Perhaps Skynet has some problem altering the "past" the closer it gets to the "present," and further back it has to be careful not to destroy itself?

I believe I'm thinking too hard, as well...

I think the machines could safely axe Connor in the camps, since Skynet exists by that point. Maybe he found some way to hide his identity?

My guess is that, at this point, the future has been tampered with so much that John was never interned. He had to have taken the lead in some other way, possibly in the present or very near future. But that makes me concerned about how he finds Kyle Reese, and the possibility that Kyle will be sent back to the wrong point in time in the TV show, while John is a teenager, has me worried.

I am definitely thinking too hard.

I must admit, I have been slacking in reading this webcomic. I have. It's an embarassing thing given my own very, very geeky MLP webcomic and I feel like a ghargh for doing so.

Because it's good. Really good.

I even made a new userpic because of it!

OMG, that icon! I love that. :D

What a neat comic! I haven't come across it before. Do you think you'll be setting up a site for it somewhere? It's very funny!
