Pony football is an amalgamation of American football and what the rest of the world knows as football. It most resembles soccer, although fans of American football would recognize the lining up, drives and constant instant replay reviews.

Last week's vote incentive and donation incentive were an amazing success! There will be two bonus comics at the end of the month. I better get to work!

Edit: For those concerned about the birthstones, here is a compilation of several different lists. Blue topaz is listed for December under the modern birthstones.

Pegasus ponies are amazing athletes! They have to be mindful when unicorns play, though. There are rules against use of magic. ;D

Well, it's just after eight o'clock, and time for the penguin on top of your television set to explode.

Love that the Snicker's Betty White commercial got into the Pony football coverage :)

Awwww... Topaz is so cute. :3 My cat is named after a birthstone too, Aquamarine, or Aqua for short. It's the month she was actually born in though, not the month when we got her. She also has that name because she has the most beautiful blue eyes. :3 *loves her little kitty*

You did an awesome job putting together Brightly's apartment.

And I think I've kinda fallen a little bit in love with Tropical Surprise in glasses. :3 We should see more of him. Yes we should. Yes.

Did they change birthstones around again? Topaz used to be November's (I only know cause I'm a November). Brightly's apartment is great! And I agree with Minty. I have been in England for about 5 months and I /still/ don't get football (except that I call it football instead of soccer). Cricket is even worse though! Whooboy.

Wait, I'm an idiot. That's supposed to be a commercial that has soccer in it, not an actual football game. Well, I don't get American football either, so my comment is still partially relevant.

Cute kitty, but incorrect birthstone. :(

According to my copy of the 5th Edition of "Gems: Their Sources, Descriptions and Identifications," the official birthstones list as follows (According to the National Association of Goldsmiths of Great Britain and Ireland): January-Garnet, February-Amethyst, March-Aquamarine, April-Diamond, May-Emerald, June-Pearl, July-Ruby, August-Peridot, September-Sapphire, October-Opal, November-Topaz, December-Turquoise.

I have heard of Blue Zircon being used for December (it's what my gemstone ordering catalog lists the birthstone as), but I've never heard of Topaz being used for the same, in any of it's many colors (nor Ruby, for that matter). It's possible that it's different in other countries, but with the cultures you're using between the locals and Brightly, Topaz is not normally associated with December. (Though apparently Topaz is also the stone for Sunday. O_o)

Yeah, I'd say Sweetsong made an interception. XD

Yes, the list I have is the same as Kazzellin's. My hubby's birthday is in November and as far as he's always known, Topaz is his birthstone. :)

I thought that topaz was the gemstone for November. I'm not talking the version of the birthgems calendar that's come out in the last ten years. It used to be topaz (gold/ yellow) for November. I have proof, especially since I'm a November baby.

Yeah, yellow topaz is a November stone. ^_^

Loving Brightly's apartment. Ah, using crates as furniture; a college classic. ^_^ The penguin on the tv is just too cute for words. ^_^

The link to the birthstone info is very interesting. Seems like no matter the stone, it's the color of it that matters?
Why does my month get stuck with the boring white stones all the time? *sigh*
I do like the mystical, zodiac, and day-of-the-week stones... those are just more interesting and colorful than the usual lists.

Should Ponyland maybe have its own list of stones? That could be neat!

OMG, Betty White! Was that a Superbowl commercial? *didn't watch the Superbowl*

The kitten rescue adds a new dimension of kindness to Brightly, awwwww. :D

OMG Sweetsong, whatever, get out.
