I had a very close friend in school. This friend stayed by my side while I made a string of awful decisions and comforted me when those poor decisions bore bitter fruit. This friend is now my husband. Unfortunately, a lot of girls realize too late that a friend can have potential for more. So if you’re a guy reading this, wondering why a friend is just a friend, this is how that happens. I wish I had a better explanation for it.

I’ll be posting a new round of auctions later today, so be sure to look!

Friends make the best partners. No harm in making that extra step. A guy that I was in love with for seven years is still one of my best friends today.

Stories like you and your husband warms my heart <3

Awwwww...

This brings back memories of a friend of mine in high school. I had a crush on him and I was too shy to do anything about it, but I always wished he'd make a move. He graduated and moved away and that was that. :P

(Then again, considering my track record, he probably wasn't into girls anyway.)

poor Kimono! :( I want her to be with Brighty wahhh.
I had a friend like that; he was always there for me yadda yadda. We attempted to date twice, and for whatever reason he never returned my love. Eventually I realized that I had the brotherly kind of love for him though, but it was a painful journey.

Aww - Kimono looks absolutely adorable in the first two panels. ^^ (I kind of feel there should be a clip-clop sound effect for when she gets off of her desk, but that probably would have crowded the panel.) Using one of the dance ponies for that model, yes?

I hope this turns out nicely for Kimono - her winding up with Brightly would be lovely. :)

... Why do I somehow expect Sweet Song to overhear this? O_o

I had a similar experience with my best friend from HS. I knew him for like 10 years and always gawked at the thought of us being more. Like "oh he's more like a brother". Several years later I realized I really did love him, but now he's gone doing his own thing and we've grown apart. However I was fortunate enough to meet another man I love so much more. They say things happen for a reason. I just stick by that when things seem bleak.
