I work in retail, and I bend over backwards for some of our customers. We have customers who have to buy everything separately, because they can't add. We have customers who leave their money or their ID in their car. And we have customers who play the pointing game either because they can't read or are too lazy to be bothered to speak. I'm sure my pain is universal.

Website news! I have added a much-needed archive page to the comic section. So now, when you're telling your friend about the one where Minty ate wasabi, you'll have an easier time finding the link. ;)

I also plan on adding a search function soon, so comics will be even easier to find. To do this, though, I need help. Each comic page needs to be transcribed and entered into a database. I have six transcribed so far, but that leaves ninety others as of this week. That's more than any one person can do, but it's an easy task for a group. If you'd like to help, please go to my archive database and pick a comic to transcribe. Your help is really appreciated!

Kimono's Townhouse turns 2-years-old on February 8th. Hooray! When I started this thing, I never imagined I'd still be doing it two years later. :D I put together some fun things to celebrate the occasion!

1. KT Flyers--print up some of these flyers and leave small stacks of them in appropriate places, like flyer tables at conventions or the front counter of your favorite comic shop. OMG, viral marketing!
2. HideEmail--a little Perl script I wrote that lets you use mailto links on your website without worrying about spambots finding your email address. My gift to the world. ^_^ (Note: it's still in the beta testing stage, and a CGI-BIN is required.)
3. KT Scavenger Hunt--well, it's more like an Easter egg hunt, only a little early. ~_^ I've hidden a page on the website that has Batmint and Cooking with Superman desktop wallpapers you can download. To find the page, look for this purple star logo hidden somewhere on the website:

I love Grandaddy, and ever since they broke up, there has been a small hole in the musical section of my heart. But "Nature Anthem" is one of the most persistent ear worms I've ever encountered. So strong, in fact, that I will have to infect several of you, my dear readers, to be rid of it. >:P

Now, if I can turn serious for a moment...

I've had several uncomfortable incidents in the past few weeks involving some well-meaning fans. I love my readers, and I know they meant no harm, but there were serious implications to what they were doing, and I must address those. I am legally obligated to protect my copyrights, and so I hope no one holds this against me. I've written some Fan Activity Guidelines, which I'll also post here for convenience. Don't you hate it when that happens?! I've broken down into gibberish during presentations at conferences, and it's always so embarrassing. And, tsk... Fluttershy is awful meddlesome. :P

The story will be going in some different directions soon, and the side characters will be a lot more involved. I'll try to take it slowly, because I know to non-collectors, all these ponies look alike. ;) But if you get confused, please remember the story arc tags on each entry. For instance, if you're wondering who Brightly is, you can read all the stories Brightly appears in. I hope that helps. ^_^

Hey, look! I found the box with some of my outdoor sceneries packed inside! :P This one is inspired by my husband, whose driving was scaring the bejeebus out of me last night.
