I've just done the very same thing with my tree's.

Mine is still up. :P We have a family tradition that the tree stays up until Jan. 14. It's supposedly for luck, but I suspect it's an excuse for procrastination, LOL!

I can't be bothered with the 12th night thing, I only have a small house.

I love this one! That last shot just really makes Kimono's reaction so much better; I get that sense of "wtf?" just from the angle of the shot. Even if you had no text, I would still take it as a reaction of her not quite understanding Minty. Well done, as always. :D

Squee Kat Response! *wiggles* I'm glad you liked this one. When I made it last night, I'd considered redoing the last shot. I thought the lighting looked sinister, for some reason. o_O

LOL. Minty has resolved to be more direct! Cute. ^_^

Thanks! :D

awe Kimono has an onament in hanging from her mouth. And my what a cute littl box she has to put the onaments in.

Ack! Don't overdose on cute! ~_^

Bwah! I love how you angled Kimonon and/or the lighting to give Kimono that look of exasperation in the fourth panel. It just makes everything perfect. If I had any photoshopping skills I'd be tempted to make an icon of her with a bubble saying "What the hell are you babbling about?"
Jan. 3rd, 2007 06:27 pm (UTC)
I'll consider that a request and throw it in the next batch of free icons. ~_^
Jan. 3rd, 2007 05:02 pm (UTC)
LOL! Kimono has made the wisest resolution of all. It'll work not only for Minty's techie/geek discussions, but also for her socks-in-the-oven kinds of comments. ;)

Awww... No more Minty Tree. Next year's tree should be decorated with little yellow lanterns. ^_^ I love your pose choice for Kimono in the first panel -- excellent illusion of motion. She looks like she's in the process of tossing that ornament in the box.

It's true! I don't know why she didn't make the decision earlier. :P

Next year's tree should be decorated with little yellow lanterns. ^_^

OMG! I tried doing that this year! I had a couple wooden ball ornaments I was going to paint like lanterns, but never got around to it. o_O

Oh dear....
My sister... collector of MLP's and fuzzy things like care bears... showed me your comic strip today.

I am having a terrible time keeping from laughing loud enough to rattle the windows. ;)

I do love all the little cute stuff you've got. As a model railroader, I have to ask. Have you tried G-scale model train sets for miniature stuff? They're about the right size for pony stuff (with some minor mods for the whole lack-of-hands bit). Also, I keep waiting for one of the ponies to come up with a little grabber stick - hold in mouth, has a little hand on the end for manupulating things you need hands for... *snicker* My favorite quote so far still has to be "I give you moneys, you give me gum!"

Thank you for the laughs. Now I have to resist the urge to make a dollhouse for my sister so SHE can start making comics... ;)

Re: Oh dear....
Thank you so very much! This has really made my night. :)

I have looked at some railroad miniatures, getting ideas for outdoor scenes. I do have to build a front yard for the townhouse at some point, after all. I have quite the collection of fake grass and foul-smelling moss for when the time comes!

As for a pony's lack of hands, I just leave it a mystery as to how they manipulate things. It seems funnier that way. ;)

Thank you again!

I've stopped buying repaints too, Minty, as well as reissues in different poses. (Ironically, that inclused you. ;))
Jan. 5th, 2007 04:46 am (UTC)
LOL! Mayor Pie excepted, right? ~_^

I swore off repaints years ago, although I still buy the occasional redeco. I mean, I pretty much have to--99% of all ponies are redecos! It's rare to find one in a unique sculpt.

It takes so much longer for our tree to come down than to go up because my husband was beyond excited to buy, assemble, and decorate it after Thanksgiving, but I've asked him several times now to carry it upstairs to the attic (I took the ornaments off) and he still hasn't done so. :-P He's taking a nap right now...maybe I should put it in the bed with him, a la The Godfather.
Jan. 5th, 2007 04:47 am (UTC)
LOL! It's just such a pain to take off ornaments and disassemble the tree. I guess that would be the one perk to a real tree. You can just throw the darn thing out!
Jan. 5th, 2007 07:10 pm (UTC)
I'm amused by their resolutions lol cute tree :) we're taking ours down tomorrow.
Jan. 7th, 2007 05:14 am (UTC)
Thanks! :D

Heheh. And Kimono even has a -_- look on her face. ;D
Jan. 7th, 2007 05:15 am (UTC)
It's amazing how varied a that face can look from different angles!
