Whew! Sorry this is a little late. This is the most intricate page I've done in awhile. ^_^

I'm getting ready to start a major story arc in KT. I'm also faced with the possibility that I may need to make some changes to KT's structure soon. In order to make the best possible choices for you, the reader, I need to get to know my audience better. If you have the time, please consider filling out a short survey for me.

Poll #946253 Getting to Know You!

In which region do you live?

United States or Canada
Central or South America
Great Britain or Europe
Northern Africa or the Middle East
Sub-Saharan Africa
Indian subcontinent
Eastern Asia
Australia or the Pacific

Is English your first language?

No, but I am fluent.
No, but I am learning.

If English is not your first language, do you have problems understanding the text in KT?

If I need to change KT's schedule, on which days are you most likely to read?

Thank you in advance. I couldn't do this without you!

Ach, the Mintcave would have been brilliant! Wish I'd thought of that. o_O

Not too late to change it! I've changed my dialogue shortly after posting before, once or twice.

I love that Minty's geekiness is universally known. ^..~
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:16 pm (UTC)
Fluttershy spends a lot of time in their house, and I think she might understand Minty better than most. ~_^

Well, I answered what I could, though you probably already know those answers...I wasn't sure if I should bother with the last one because I'll see it no matter what day you post it; unless I've been away from the internets for several days, I always go back and read my friends page from the last place I left off.

Love how Minty BatMint has the camera's strap in her mouth. That's cute.
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:17 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I always go back and read everything, but I know some people don't, or they'll only go back through one page. Some people read at work, too. Thanks for filling it out anyway! :D

::GRIN:: I am thusly amused by the idea of baiting Minty with computer-related problems to fix. She truly is a superhero.
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:19 pm (UTC)
Someday, I'll get Minty in some more dynamic poses, and she can make grand entrances in true superhero style. *nods*
Mar. 14th, 2007 12:23 pm (UTC)
hahahah vista.....

oh, I will read this anyday that you post, although I will say that weekdays would be better, but only because I don't usually get online on the weekend.... stupid RL!!!
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:20 pm (UTC)
Oh, the horror stories I'm hearing about Vista. Bad, bad.

Thanks for answering the questionnaire! It's very helpful. ^_^
Mar. 15th, 2007 02:47 am (UTC)
I have not seen Vista yet, I am curious, but I don't want to put it on my pc... too scared, and anyway, my pc would need an upgrade.

Lol, stick a poll under my nose, and I'll fill in anything!! But glad it helped.

the little bookbag is just too cute!
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:21 pm (UTC)
I love that book bag. :D Kimono used the same one in an early page, but I didn't mind. :P

Let me guess Speckles is now scared of Batmint. I love how the ponies hold the camera in their mouth, nice touch. I'm guessing it was a bit harder with Fluttershy.

Any day I'll dead it but the weekdays seem to be the best.
Mar. 14th, 2007 04:23 pm (UTC)
Spackles has really just glomped onto Kimono. He's based on my mother-in-law's cat, who somehow senses that I am highly allregic to cats, and so she makes a beeline for me the second I enter the house. Kimono's not allergic, of course, but she's not crazy about the duck. :P

To the BATCAVE!!!
Batcave, Mintcave, it's still funny either way. :)

Would that most of the people I know were distracted that easily. *snicker* For some reason, I keep thinking you need a "pegasus" Batmint, with "batwing" sleeves over the pegasus wings... or maybe that's a little too silly... hmm... ;)

Re: To the BATCAVE!!!
Minty definitely needs a cape to go with the cowl. I just haven't gotten around to sewing it yet. ^_^
Mar. 14th, 2007 06:01 pm (UTC)
Minty's taking the Geek Squad concept to a superhero level!

I thought Fluttershy's poses worked especially well in this strip, especially when she's holding the camera. Nice zoom-related blur on Batmint in panel 5, too.

LOL, Spackles. ^_^
Mar. 14th, 2007 06:09 pm (UTC)
I was originally going to have Fluttershy send Minty on a fake scavenger hunt, but then I remembered that the G3 ponies do that in one of the new DVD's. So I decided to use my opportunity to make fun of Vista. Yay! :D

I'm starting to really like Fluttershy, and I might customize another one. She's in a really uncommon color, though, so that will take some time. That one pose with the turning head is so very useful, though.

Well, for one, I use Photoshop, which I know you hate. XD But you might be able to do something similar with your PSP. My method is similar to how it's done at Balloon Tales.

First, I type the text on a layer above the background layer, centering it and spacing it to make it into a roughly round shape. Then, I place a layer between the text layer and the background for the balloon.

I use the circle tool to draw a circle around the text. Then, I use the path tool to draw the tail and any lines connecting bubbles. Make sure the path tool is set to include (add) to the path rather than exclude. After I've got it all drawn out, I right-click and choose "Make Selection." This turns the whole shape into a selection, which I find easier to work with. Click on the select tool, and then right-click on the selection. Choose "Fill," and fill it with white. Right-click again and choose "Stroke," and set it to black, two pixels, centered. Don't worry, it stores your options, so you'll only have to set them once. Right-click and deselect, and you've got a balloon! The last step is to go back to the text layer and move the text so that it's centered in the balloon.

It sounds complicated, but it's really not. I've been doing it so long now, I could do it in my sleep. I'm usually half-asleep when I make these, anyway. LOL!

Considering Mint's propensity with computer stuff like that there, she'd probably have it fixed in a jiffy. I hope they have Plan B! *lol*

That's a great comic though. Hee hee hee.
Mar. 14th, 2007 11:16 pm (UTC)
The new Vista problems are a little difficult to fix, and once she fixes it, she'll probably find some patch that didn't get downloaded or she'd think the computer needed a defrag. I know once I sit down with a computer, I have a hard time pulling away from it! ~_^

I knew there was a KT back here somewhere!!
I adore the BatMint concept... that she is so into this cosplay, that she'll geek on computers as BatMint. ♥

Mar. 18th, 2007 07:25 pm (UTC)
I think Batmint will definitely make appearances in the future. ^_^ I didn't expect her to be so popular!
Mar. 21st, 2007 11:18 am (UTC)
I'd read your comic ANYTIME! My favorites are the ones where minty is dreaming... that strip with Yoda is so funny! I also like the "mutual of ponyville" comercial and the trick or treating nija turtle... I share your humor with my friends! Keep up the great work!
Jun. 12th, 2007 03:16 am (UTC)
I SNORKED! <3 <3 <3 (I am so loving your comic!)
Jun. 13th, 2007 08:39 pm (UTC)
Any time you feel like posting it, I'll read it. :-D

New reader here, BTW. Getting caught up with the current story and loving it!
Jun. 27th, 2007 11:32 pm (UTC)
I love KT
I will tune-in and read and whichever Batday you publish.
