Minty encounters Bob Wayne

That's right. This one's dedicated to you, Bob!

(Although this ruins my chances of ever being hired by DC. Ha!)

Minty found this ghetto fabulous tree at Target, in case you want one of your own. Kimono, of course, would encourage you to get something classier. What's the fun in that?

I'm sure everyone who wants to see the Iron Man trailer has seen it by now. But just in case, here's your daily dose of nerdiness. O. M. G.

*lol* I love the last panel! That is fantastic. The poses are perfect. Minty looks so proud of herself and Kimono looks like she's trying to think of a way to dispose of the tree. It's so sparkly and pink! Such a Minty tree. :D

It's hilarious, isn't it? Jill put me up to it. :P

It is! :D *chuckles* I wonder if Kimono will find a way to 'tame' the tree down, so she can live with it for the holidays. That's of course if she can beat Minty to decorating it. ;)

Minty's bags are great. The one almost looks like it's on wheels.

That's true! Minty is a Christmas decorating ninja. Maybe Kimono will beat her to it this year.

You don't even need to add decorations to that tree....it's an event all on its own. lol
Dec. 5th, 2007 06:27 am (UTC)
Seriously! I'm trying to find ornaments that won't clash with it. Although, that might be funny in its own right.
Dec. 5th, 2007 05:42 pm (UTC)
... I don't think it would be possible to have ornaments that don't clash with that tree. O.O I'm not sure anything wouldn't clash with that tree...

Oh my gosh! That tree is sooo funny. I actually really like it. . .it suits Minty so well. Did you really find it at Target or was that a joke?
( My Minty is wanting one )

Yep! I found it in the dollar section at Target. It comes in several different colors. ^_^

What? Bob Wayne or the pink tree?
Dec. 5th, 2007 07:00 am (UTC)
My mother would love that Christmas tree.
Dec. 5th, 2007 10:50 am (UTC)
I love that you are as excited as Minty about Iron Man! (Hee, so am I, actually...) :D

I feel Minty's pain about the line. One year at Otakon I was waiting in line to meet Koge Donbo (of Digi Charat and Pita Ten fame), but the line was too long and when I was just four or five people away, the guys in charge came out and said that time was up, no one else could see her. >_<

One of my friends can relate to both you and Minty. He had that happen to him while waiting in line for Kouta Hirano of Hellsing fame at last year's Otakon. He was so upset!

This happened to me not once but twice. The first time, they handed out slips for people to have a chance to meet Jim Lee. The next year, I made it into line, only to be booted by Wayne. Considering how important he is at DC, I'm not sure why he got stuck being Lee's handler. Jim Lee-2, Dava-0.

ha ha, a PINK TREE! didja get it at WalMart? :D

Too bad Steve Dave wasn't there to back Bob up...
Dec. 5th, 2007 06:03 pm (UTC)
LMAO! That would be pretty funny. And appropriate! That was the year that Kevin Smith was hiding inside one of the company's displays. He wasn't even supposed to be there!

Squee! Pink tree and pony hugs ^^
Dec. 5th, 2007 06:26 pm (UTC)
Woot! Love that tree!

I would never have something that tacky in my place, of course, but...

Dec. 5th, 2007 07:47 pm (UTC)
Minty just got home, and so did I! XD

That's not just a tree. That's a fabulous statement of x-treme holiday cheer. BAM!

Tsk. Minty should've tried my HUGH-PLEASE-PLEASE trick for getting autographs. If you squee loudly enough, they have to pay attention. :D

And awwww @ pony hugs in the third panel.

Omg, I saw those trees at Target and thought "It's like something Minty might have..." X-D
Dec. 5th, 2007 08:56 pm (UTC)
That tree screams Minty. (Literally. It sounds like it's in pain, too).
Dec. 6th, 2007 12:08 am (UTC)
Who knows? Maybe those mint ornaments she used last time would go just right with that pink tree!
Dec. 6th, 2007 08:52 am (UTC)
Oh my gosh, I was almost going to pick up that tree about a week ago for my doll stories. LOL! Now I must go get one. LOL! So glad to see Minty is back and had a great time.
Dec. 11th, 2007 06:56 pm (UTC)
They should make a full-size version of that tree, it'd be really neato to have something like that...
Dec. 16th, 2007 08:13 pm (UTC)
They do--at least I've seen it in purple, and I WANT ONE. Unfortunately my cousin (who runs a home decor store) wouldn't sell it to me. *cries*
Dec. 13th, 2007 08:22 pm (UTC)
i love the hug!
the tree *is* awesome...but i literally outloud 'awwwww''ed at the hug.

Dec. 16th, 2007 08:14 pm (UTC)
I want one of those trees. In purple. Life-sized. (Well, about two feet would do it--I live in an apartment, not a townhouse! ^_^)
