Shark Week isn't an event--it's a way of life! I wanted to do a Shark Week comic last year, when they had their big anniversary, but I was distracted by other things. So I saved it!

There was a bonus KT on Monday, so if you missed it, be sure to go back and check it out. It's probably my favorite one so far.

News: This is the last week to get the current donation incentive wallpapers. New wallpapers will be uploaded next week. So if you want the "Comic Shop" or "+10 HP Helmet" wallpapers, please visit the KT Tip Jar Page.

I always remember shark week because it's the week of my birthday :-)

I haven't caught it yet this week though, been too busy, but now I *need* minty's inflatable shark to have fun with ;-)

Happy birthday! :D

The body language in the second-to-last panel, from all three ponies, but Minty especially, is awesome. The lighting in this one is great all around anyway, and Kimono's hat looks uncomfortable-fuzzy. (Too, her pink tongue is amusing).

Shark week is truly an event!

Thanks! This one took awhile. And, I've discovered that the new lighting rig gets really, really HOT while you're setting up shots. The longer I took, the more miserable it got. D:

This strip is so detailed! The way Fluttershy rolls up the rug and puts it in the box is a nice touch :)
I'm not familiar with Shark Week as I don't have the Discovery Channel :(
Is that a giant artist's palette on Minty's back in panel six?
Jul. 30th, 2008 04:01 pm (UTC)
It's a surfboard. My husband thought it was a palette, too!

Like a boogie/body board? I see it now XD

That's quite a shark. ^_^
The shark being yanked up the stairs is brilliant. I can see that moment in action -- Minty pulling it, the fin catching on the edge of the stairs, bonk, bonk, bonk. XD Excellent visual. I like the way you moved the Breezie storyline forward while still working in an unexpected punchline.

Re: That's quite a shark. ^_^
I was really happy with this one. It was hard juggling everything that was going on, but I like how it came out.

That brings up the age old question that has raged for centuries: can a pony pop the shark in the eye while the shark is chomping on her?

(I loved the Mythbusters' Shark episode)

Good comic this week. :)

...Kim? XD

I want to shop at that yard sale, especially if Minty ends up contributing anything.

Kim! :D

Minty would definitely have some odd things to contribute.

I totally didn't catch that the first time around. I am full of fail.

Very cute! I love the angle in 5th frame with Kimono's mouth open and of course the second to last frame! Loved this one! Shark Week is a big event in my house, we watch various shows during it, however my favourite week on TV is Armageddon Week on the History Channel. I love Biblical History and Theories so that's probably why. ;)

Hee, that hat is cute. And Shark Week! Wow. Never heard of that before. ^~

(Btw, I clicked the buzzcomic link and it said like this:

Yeah, they're updating their system. It'll be fixed soon, hopefully.

Yardz sale fun.
I know when people comment on my stuff, I have to wonder, hnmmm. was my stuff really crappy in the beginning.

There is something anew that I've noticed in your webcomics. They are more, SURE, and stronger, and this one has soo much detail, and I love the new camera angles, etc. There is something to say about the new tone and attitude we are carrying here. I've read every single one at least three times already, and I love the stories.

I especially love how you integrated this one with shark week.....I was on the edge of my seat that week. Didn't sleep very well.

Considering the boxes of trinkets you have, and also, seeing Kimono with her own box of garage sale goodies, I just LOVE it.
Going through the things, deciding what to keep, what to give away, and then someone is like "oh, that looks so good on you" what do you do? Do you A. OFfend the friend by saying "yeah, but I don't like it, you can have it" B. Appreciate the flattery and wear the object, C. Stuff it it in the box precarously when they aren't looking.

I just love the thought provokation.
