Kimono, you enabler! Back when my husband and I first started dating, friends at school told me about his Batman costume. Apparently, in junior high, he found a Batman cape from a costume he wore as a kid. He wore this with a Batman T-shirt and bluejeans, and he paraded up and down the street for everyone to see. I really wish I could have seen that!

This is my latest creation, which took me a couple months to make. Those of you who follow the KT Fan Page have been waiting so patiently to see it!

KT hasn't hit the top 100 mark at Top Web Comics. I think if everyone votes once or twice this week, it will make it easily. So be sure to vote! I have some great ideas for a bonus comic. ^_^

Oh, Kimono you`ll never hear the end of this! Minty won`t stop squealing with delight over her costume!

She`ll be going at it well past New Years!

woo Batmint!

If I did Halloween, I would dress as Batmint, as shes the only pony related super-hero I know. Maybe next year, as although I will be in the states this Halloween, its on the day I arrive, and I'll be all jet lagged.

Mallrats reference?
Oct. 14th, 2009 07:04 pm (UTC)
Oh, maybe it wasn't? Well there's a scene in Mallrats, where Jay and Silent Bob are running from mall cops, and Silent Bob uses his Batman utility belt with a batarang to escape, and Jay hugs him and says "Where DO you get these wonderful toys?"

Ah. Kevin Smith and I are both quoting from the 1989 Batman movie.

Aha. I'm a dork and haven't seen that one, lol, oh well, that would definitely explain it X3
Made me laugh either way

Wow! Cool Batmint costume!

I'd never seen that KT Fan Page before, but I love all the little food items you've made. How is the polymer clay? Is it hard to learn to work with?
Oct. 14th, 2009 01:59 pm (UTC)
Thanks! I didn't find it hard at all, but I played with a lot of Play-Doh as a kid. The only thing that took me awhile to master was the shading with pastels.

IT's a good thin the Ponies aren't real-life sized...or that would be a LOT of polymer clay.
Oct. 14th, 2009 08:53 pm (UTC)
Eh, if you roll it thin, you'd probably only need half a block to make a human-sized chest plate.

I am the (candy) night!!

Squee! Batmint!! I totally need a new Batmint Icon. I Love how the costume turned out!!

YAY for the Joker quote! :D
Beautiful work on the cape. It's quite fabulous.

I hoped someone would catch that. :D

Batmint quoting the Joker? What is this world coming to?? XD (Hurrah for it not being something along the lines of "why so serious?", LOL. Nicholson had the best quotes.)

The cape is awesome -- Minty looks so happy posing in it. :D

I loved the "gonna walk up and down the street" line. Then I read the inspiration behind it, and I loved it even more. This is one of my new favorite strips!

Nicholson forever! "He's at home... washing his tights!"

Kris was describing the cowl to me. He said it didn't cover the nose, and it was so big it stuck out from the sides of his face. Oh, and it had tiny ears that flopped instead of staying upright. XD

I'm always amazed by your mini creations.

I voted at Top Web Comics, but the link to buzz comix at the portal still shows text for me.
Oct. 14th, 2009 08:54 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I have a feeling Buzz Comix might be gone for good. He's let the site lapse before, though, so I've been holding out for him.

I love how you base many of your comics on your own life experiences, Dava! It's really the best method of producing true humor. :D

Been reading all of Kimono's townhouse.
I give Kimono's Townhouse 5 stars. However, if you want to go the extra mile, you obviously need more Pinkie Pie!

Keep up the great work.

Re: Been reading all of Kimono's townhouse.
LOL! I've avoided using Pinkie Pie out of respect for Ponyville. Spoosh well and truly "owns" that character--I can't see Pinkie Pie without thinking of Ponyville. I'm glad you like my work, though! ^_^

Why I don't surprise on Kimono's last sentens? Anyway I really likike Minty's Halloween costume so she is now 100% Batmint.
