Generally speaking, it's wise to stay on your cleric's good side. :P Chessex now makes a set of miniature polyhedral dice that are just the right size for the comic. As soon as I get the funds in my Paypal account, I am so getting a set!

It's a new month, and that means a new vote incentive. Get KT into the top 100 of Top Web Comics for a day, and there will be a bonus comic Monday, November 30.

"I'm gonna cast magic missile!"
"Why are you casting magic missile, there's nothing to attack here!"
"I'm attacking the darkness!"

Aw, I miss D&D.

I've always been a fireball girl, myself, but that's probably because I started Magic before ever playing D&D. Oh, how I love my burn decks...

Were you spying on my last D&D game? The only thing missing is pimping out party members to get discounts in town.
Nov. 4th, 2009 07:20 am (UTC)
Ohmygoodness, this brightened things up a bit for me.

(I use my RSS feeder, but still. Tiny internets. :3 )

Eeek! The speech bubbles are a tad confusing this time 'round. Then again, with a crowd of unknowns I can't tell definitively who is saying what by their attitude alone... ^.^;

Who all is playing, btw? Just the Hasbro girls, or do they have KT modified names? ;)
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:29 pm (UTC)
Oh, shoot! Which part was confusing?

The crowd is all Hasbro girls. DM is Shenanigans, and the players are Minty, Sparkleworks, Port-O-Bella and Soda Float. It's Minty's usual D&D group.

"I'm tired of healing you" needs to be iconized. SERIOUSLY. I have left crews more often than I can count in the game I play because I was sick of depleting my own energy to heal n00bs who can't strategize or pace themselves. XD
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:29 pm (UTC)
I'll add it to the list! ^_^

I knew I loved Minty for a reason!! I <3 the fireball spell!! This comic really makes me look forward to D&D this Saturday.

Great work, as always.
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:29 pm (UTC)
Fireball is just freakin' awesome. XD
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:31 pm (UTC)
This sounds like it's taking place in Ravenloft, actually. Lord Dreadhoof sounds an awful lot like Lord Soth, and Ravenloft existed in the Demiplane of Dread...

Anyway, I liked the comic!
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:34 pm (UTC)
LOL! I hadn't considered where this was happening. I figured Shenanigans is a homebrew kind of girl. ;)
Nov. 4th, 2009 04:50 pm (UTC)
OMG look who's commenting?! ;)

I loved it! Good on Minty for recognizing evil at first glance. Some people are good at D&D, some people... Are just not. ;)

And for what it's worth, I didn't find the speech bubbles confusing at all. *shrug* I guess some people are just good at reading comics, and some people are not! ;)

Kat comment! :D Yeah, I'm not too worried about the speech bubbles. They're pretty much what they always look like, and the complaints aren't rampant or anything.
Nov. 4th, 2009 05:01 pm (UTC)
I've never been near a tabletop game -- seriously, my knowledge of them pretty much comes from the skit featherfire quoted -- but I still found this funny. ^_^
Nov. 4th, 2009 05:25 pm (UTC)
Yay! I try to make stuff like this as accessible as I can, so I like knowing that it works. :D Truth be told, I've only played D&D once. I just spent a whole lot of time around gamers. :P

Ha ha, this brings back all sorts of good D&D memories. :D And Port-o-Bella's expression is perfect for this comic.

Do you use Comic Life for your layouts?
Nov. 5th, 2009 12:28 am (UTC)
Nah, I'm on a PC. I use Photoshop 6 most of the time.

Chessex dice
I have friend that works at Chessex, I will get a set of those mini-dice and donate them if you want some.

Re: Chessex dice
Really? That would be great! I was talking to someone who works at Chessex. I think the dice were only $10, so I was just waiting until my ad revenue was big enough to transfer to my Paypal account.

I love the d&d comics! and my party has a general rule that, when given a choice, we always go left.
I totally want a set of the little dice!

Hahaha I use to play Magic and D&D but my brother would steal all my Magic cards so mainly I played D&D.
One time two of the players were teaming up against me and my DM decided it wasn't fair so he dropped a dragon on them.
I'm not sure if that was 'legal' butttt I don't care lol.
