I was utterly surprised to receive an iPhone this past Christmas, and since then, I have become quite obsessed with "Words with Friends," a Scrabble-clone game. I absolutely love the game, but sometimes, I am startled at the words the game's dictionary rejects, words like "ova," "turpid," and "neti." "Turpid," especially, infuriated me, because it would have crossed both double letter and triple word spaces. And yet, when I played "waddy," I was surprised the game accepted it. I joked at the time that it's an adjective, but I now know that it's also the name of a primitive weapon. Okay, fine. But the game really ought to accept words like "ova."
Between boogers and the "Who Tooted?" game from two strips back, it occurs to me that I'm in an immature frame of mind lately.
