That's right, I made a joke about McFarlane figures. Hey, Toyfare is out of print. Someone had to do it!

I posted a comic Monday to make up for not updating Wednesday last week. Be sure to go back if you missed it!

Love the comic but the last panel was the best (and you know it's totally true!)
Minty with her friends always gives me a giggles because they are *so* some of my friends from college!

This one is based on two conversations I had with my husband. Real, live geek banter!

A McFarlane joke is a great excuse to make my boyfriend read this comic. So, well done!

I can't tell you how many broken McFarlane figures I have. GAH. They look great, but holy CROW, they are flimsy.

I literally went "HAH!!!" out loud after reading the last panel. It's so true. That's what's so great about so many of your geek-humor punchlines -- I don't know the first thing about Modern Warfare 2, what a booster is, etc., but I still got the joke. XD

Also, Walking Dead figures! Darn me and my get-rid-of-it mentality and my lack of a dedicated toy room... XD

Successful translation of geek to non! \o/

I haven't seen any photos of the Walking Dead figures yet--they just made the announcement--but I'm all wiggly just thinking about new zombie figures. There's always room for miniature zombies! I don't think I need the regular cast, though.

But OMG, boosters. Kris has got it OUT for those guys! Basically, a couple guys will make an agreement that one person will just stand there and let the other person kill them over and over so he can raise his stats, and they'll take turns doing this. There's been a few times when Kris got stuck on a team of guys who were standing there, letting the other team whale on them. When Kris finds them, he does what he can to interrupt their shenanigans.

I never really got into action figures much outside Star Wars (and, in the mid 90s, wrestling action figures) but I've heard about the... umm... frailness of McFarlane action figures.

Iv'e also always been confused my Modern Warfare boosters. Most the time I've tried playing FPS games online, everyone has been so insanely competitive I can't imagine them sedately letting people kill them like that. But it happens, so things must have changed since I played the original MW online. (Sort of lost interest in FPSes for right now.)

They're flimsy, and they tend to fall of shelves on a daily basis. That's a bad combination!

I think where the boosting problems started was with the trophy/achievement incentives. Some of the trophies are incredibly hard to get, and it encourages cheating. You get two guys who need a trophy for 50 head shots, it won't be long before one offers to let you shoot him until you get your trophy, and then you help him get his.

My awesome Spawn figures are exactly like that. I lol'ed heartedly at that comment.

I also lol'ed at the MW2 joke. The reason being that on CoD: Black Ops, it's now happening all the time. And my co-worker farms the people who do it now (most of the time, it's hilarious).

You know, the Alien Queen is significantly less imposing when her head falls off, and you can't get it to pop back onto the peg sticking out of her neck. :P

Bwah! I love the geeky posts the best!

And I also love the Art Nueveau poster on the wall in the back there!

Mwahaha! I must have the sturdiest McFarlane in existence!

*makes woobie noises at him* He's so cute!

My mother language is german, so I had to translate "stud"...*blush*
But then I laughed so much, I almost spit out my juice!

We have a weird habit in English, calling attractive people by food names. A good-looking man might be a "studmuffin" or a "piece of beefcake." Old pin-up art of women from the 1940's is often called "cheesecake." I have no idea why we do that!
