Based on an actual conversation my husband and I had last week. I have a list of words I cannot stand to hear misused. He pointed out that the meaning of words change over time, but I won't have it.

Many apologies for the late update! As most of you know, I live in Texas, where we are having an outbreak of massive wildfires, in addition to a dust storm blowing in from Kansas. So far, there are no fires in my immediate area, but I've been breathing who-knows-what for about a week, and I've felt ill for days now. If you're in an affected area, stay safe and hang in there!

Woofs? Seriously? I've never heard that before in my life but I can only imagine the vitriol that must well up inside you when someone utters that word.

For some reason is a common mispronunciation in this area, especially amongst kids! Go figure.

ETA: Another common mistake is "put gas". A lot of the population here does not pump gas, they do not put gas in the car, they simply "put gas" to which part of my brain screams, "PUT IT WHERE?!" I do the same thing when people go, "Where are you at?" (Oh, somewhere between the A and the T. Don't end sentences with prepositions!) :DDDDD
