Life is always interesting living with Minty! ~_^

Loyal KT Readers! I'm making my first official Call for Bait. Would any of you have a spare Twinkle Twirl I? I'd like to make Kimono in a standing pose, and I'll pay a reasonable price for Twinkle Twirl. Thanks for all your support!

Gotta love the tiny accessories and detail on the background! :D

Thanks! I got to use some unusual ones this time. ^_^

Thats Funny, gross but funny.

I found my Twinkle Twirl at a Yard Sale (or I should say my nana did). If I find another one I'd be happy to let it go. Prehaps one of those icescating ponies would work.

LOL! Well, if it helps any, I don't imagine hooves sweat very much. ~_^

I've got one of the ice skating ponies, and she did not dye well. She also has a huge, gaping hole where her crown was. :-/ So Twinkle Twirl it is! I've been looking for one at the flea market, but no luck thus far.

LOL...you're good. ;-)

Squee! Thank you!
Aug. 23rd, 2006 04:12 pm (UTC)
*lol* Brilliant. :D I can so see Minty doing that too. Love how we can see the socks in the oven. And that mixer is fantastic. The recipe, is it a real recipe? I like that we can actually read the name of the recipe on the card. :D That's great. The pie plate wow. Where did you find a mini pie plate? Or did you make it?

I'm so adding this one to my memories. :D
Aug. 23rd, 2006 05:43 pm (UTC)
Thank you! :D I think you're the first to add KT to your memories!

I surprised they didn't see the socks. Then again, I never inspect my oven before turning it on. o_O The mixer is a Muppet accessory, but the recipe's not real. It has "Rainbowberry Pie" at the top and then some scribbles. :P And the pie plate... haha! It's just a piece of foil!! LOL!

ok, I'm reallly curious about something.
What does Kimono's townhouse (the whole thing) look like? We've seen rooms in the comics, but never a picture of the whole house.
Aug. 23rd, 2006 07:14 pm (UTC)
LOL! I've considered taking pictures of it, but I thought that might detract from the illusion that it's a real house. There is a picture of the full exterior in #1, though.

The whole townhouse can be seen here. Maybe once I'm finished customizing Kimono's house, I'll take a full picture of it. ^_^

*laughs and shakes head* Oh Minty, you and your socks...
Aug. 24th, 2006 12:18 am (UTC)
I can't believe it took me 24 comics to get to the Adventures in Sock Collecting!
Aug. 24th, 2006 12:07 am (UTC)
But if Minty put them in the oven she would not have been sirprised to see them in there :).
I've got to get some of the little items from Japan..shipping is awful though :P

I know you don't like my comic for it's big size, but I like yours :). I just pick on it sometimes..it's a habit I have from writing fanfic :)
Aug. 24th, 2006 12:17 am (UTC)
Do what? Minty's not even in this one.

I am laughing very hard right now.

Mission accomplished. ;)

"I smell feet!" got an LOL from me. ::THUMBS UP::
Aug. 24th, 2006 12:19 am (UTC)
Squee!! I laughed as I typed it. This one's been in my story reserve for awhile. Glad I finally had to use it!
Aug. 24th, 2006 02:06 am (UTC)
Hahahaa! "I smell feet." Oh noes! XD

I like this one very much. It's so funny that the socks are visible the whole time, but you don't notice them until the joke's revealed. I like the way the smoke builds through the panels, too.

Poor Minty -- wait until she finds out her socks have been singed...
Aug. 24th, 2006 02:14 am (UTC)
And it was one of her favorite sets! Poor Minty, indeed!

Thank you so much! I was hoping someone would notice the little details with the smoke. ^_^

Heh, Minty's just providing all kinds of amusement these days, isn't she? ;)
Spam and feet, can't get much better than that!
Aug. 24th, 2006 04:42 pm (UTC)
LOL! Yeah, she's a pretty flexible character. ^_^ Although "spam and feet" conjures all sorts of weird mental images. o_O

Reminds me of when my boyfriend turned on the oven at his mom's house, only to find out that's where she stores her tupperware. >.< Ewww, lots of ruined tupperware and the smell of melting plastic.
Fantastic comic, as usual. :D
Aug. 26th, 2006 12:01 am (UTC)
LOL! You know, I'm surprised at how many people do that. My mom just keeps all her pots and pans in her oven, which means lots of plastic handles that could melt. o_O

I just stumbled upon KT today because of the lj spotlight, so I'm working my way back through all the entries.

I just had to say that this one really strikes home for me. My fiance and I were trying to sell our house, so to open up space on the counter, I stuck the toaster oven in the actual oven. Let's just say that by the time I smelled trouble, there was a puddle of melted plastic in my oven.

Then, just yesterday it happened again. Since the toaster oven incident, I check it to make sure I haven't stuck something in there. Of course, I had friends over for dinner, but since I was late, they let themselves in and started to preheat the oven. This time, it was a spatula...oh oven woes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
Jun. 15th, 2007 04:05 am (UTC)
LOL! I base a lot of the stories on the first year my husband and I were married. It's funny how many weird things happen when you're sharing a space with someone! Although we never had an incident with socks in the oven, or a toaster (thank goodness!), we've had some problems with melted Tupperware. ;)

Welcome to KT! I'm glad you're enjoying the comic. :D

Hi! Yes, it's also a Barbie accessory. If I remember correctly, it came with a kitchen playset.
